The Swiss Academic Moodle Community (SAMoo) was created in June 2010 to serve as a platform for Swiss Universities to exchange knowledge and best practices in didactic and technical fields related to Moodle. We will start new projects and coordinate activities together. SAMoo is organized as an informal community and aimed at e-learning support center leaders of Swiss Universities.
The SIG Digital Collaboration is focusing on new needs and current /future trends for a "smart" collaboration. While e-Collaboration relies more or less on electronic tools, digital collaboration should incorporate smart technologies that make the user's work easier, more intuitive or deeply immersive.

Videos are increasingly present in the higher education teaching landscape. But it is difficult, both for higher education teachers and e-learning centres, to know what questions need to be addressed even before starting to plan a video project. These questions essentially cover the aspect of "planning the plan", where a vision for the role of video in higher education, as well as the related constraints are to be identified, developed or at least taken into account. Furthermore, it is difficult for people starting to produce video sequences, to find information and help for every stage of their projects.
As distance learning is now highly expanding through the world, all Higher Education Institutions are concerned with ensuring the quality of their provisions in this format. In Switzerland, with the coming accreditation of higher education institution under the new Higher Education Act (HEdA), it will be necessary for Higher Education Institutions to develop specific procedures to integrate online provisions in their internal quality assurance system, in order to be able to prove that quality of distance learning is under control. On the basis of the many reflexions and concretisations that have been done already in Switzerland, Europe and further, sharing practices and experiences is a way to boost and facilitate the work of each HEI in this field. The SIG Quality of distance learning proposes in-depth discussions and developments at experts and practitioners level.
The aim of the SIG E-Portfolio is to determine the usage of e-portfolio elaborating pedagogical recommendations and defining if there is a common need for a national instance of an e-portfolio that would among other features cover lifelong storage. In order to do so, the SIG launched a survey to identify e-portfolio practices and needs and since then organizes workshops to focus on pedagogical and technological aspects.
